A very popular Post Office where the queues are long & very slow on most days, that offer the usual services & products like sending parcels, stamps & passports amongst other things, staff aren't that friendly.

Always worried to go to this post office as the staff is very rude. I was there a minute ago to return a small parcel and after asking the lady at the till to repeat what she told me as I didn't understand properly, she just stared at me silently for a long time as if I'm an idiot, then kept on asking me to repeat myself even though i was clear enough. very impolite and bigoted.

As I walked in a security guard asked if he could help me with one of the self service checkouts, I asked if I could go to one of the ladies at the desk as I had 4 complicated international parcels to post. So I went to one of the ladies at the desk, her name was Sally. Sally very passive aggressively told me that next time I should use the self service checkout as I may hold up a queue. How ridiculous is that! Sally then had a go at me for telling her my parcels had no value and writing on the customs declaration it had a value of 10. This is how I have been doing it for 6 years of sending international orders and never had a problem as long as it is under 20. Will be using click and drop next time.

Somehow this grim little post office sums up the mood of the entire town or at least how the west would describe a 1980s banana republic , old and decrepid and by the attitudes of the staff they might as well be governed by a plutocracy and have no rights as that was certainly the impression they were giving off.I highly doubt they were being paid 8p but when I tried to post a parcel (which Id never done before) the old bat who was hurrying everyone along and when I asked for some help she came storming over and I thought she was going to throw it out the window but instead she put it on the scale thing and took it from there but her behaviour wasnt needed and put a downer on my whole day thanks to Portsmouth post office , make it a Tesco I say

Manager is very rude when I wanted to use the counter service but made me use the self service even though I told him repeatedly I did not want to, apparently as the manager he knows what a customer needs. Customer is always right is not high on his customer service, I had to grab my parcel off him which he tried to grab back. No wonder some of the other staff are rude ( not everyone) if this is the example he sets, not the first time that I have had poor service from here
