I love this store. I used to visit it all the time 20 years ago when it was in southsea, now its closer to home for me so Im very happy! The daughter of the original owner now runs the business and shes just as lovely as her mum who served me all those years ago. I always manage to find some great books in here that you cant get in the likes of Waterstones etc. The prices as also brilliant and Ive saved so much money as a result. Most books are literally a pound or two for the secondhand ones. They now also sell a small selection of new books which is a nice addition. I look forward to coming back here for many years to come.

A great find. Really good selection of Military stuff and even some boxes of old comics on the counter. if you want a stack of old Starblazer comics or a book about WW2, check this place out.
A small bookshop but well stocked and probably the best in Portsmouth for those looking for something different beyond the "top twenty" popular titles stocked by places like Waterstones etc. For military history it is probably without doubt the best on the south coast for both current books and second hand. It also carries some titles currently in print at discounted prices. Also its collection of local books and booklets is first class. I visit Portsmouth every month or so and and don't bother with Waterstones but this place is a must. A great find.
