In order to enjoy this venue you pretty much have to attend at non peak hours. (Which is understandable since it's so popular). If by the off chance you do arrive at this time it's going to be a hefty queue and difficult to park.Once in, the options for food are amazing. Yes they can be pricey but you do get a cushty amount. Cakes, sandwiches, hot food and drink. The lot. I would thoroughly recommend attending. Just be wary of peak times to avoid disappointment.
Amazing food, great service and friendly staff.I highly recommend this place as it is great for families and friends.
Not baby friendly at all. Just waited outside in the freezing cold for half an hour. Wouldnt let one of us wait somewhere more sheltered (and out the way) with the baby. Gave away two tables for two to people behind us in the queue and wouldnt let us use those tables even though the baby didnt need a seat (we could have had her on our knee) ended up leaving when they said the wait was too long for us to have brunch. Understand it was our choice to wait at all, but to start with it wasnt clear how long we would be left outside for. Great that they are popular but very poor customer service, which is a shame when Ive heard great things about the food. Sure its fine but will just say if you have young children this didnt seem to be a place willing to accommodate.
Didn't appreciate that i was told i can't have my own sandwich on the terrace when we had already bought drinks. If i have a digestive condition and can't eat whatever i want when i want it it would be nice not to be embarrassed by being told to put away my sandwich. I was also with my dog and practically took the drinks to go. I've never experienced this anywhere else. Not to mention the tea pot was dirty and the cups had coffee marks from previous 'users', i had to take it back and ask for a clean one.
Amazing afternoon tea with a dear friend. Service was amazing and with a Halal diet they provided all good that was suitable for our diet. So seafood and veggie sandwiches only and gelatin free cakes. A little pricey but you get a very large afternoon tea and a huge teapot.
