We had to take our cat, Bean, for an emergency appointment on Thursday night. It was not looking good for her and she had to stay over-night. The staff took care of her and kept us thoroughly updated. They referred us to a specialist the next day up in Alton who managed to zero in on the problem and we now have a very happy and healthy cat again after a terrible scare. We cannot thank the staff enough for their care and attention to our cat as well as their consistent updates and thorough examinations and excellent recommendation in an emergency scenario.

Brought my rat here as an emergency to the Minight emergency service on Sunday evening last week and was seen quickly after phoning up in a bit of a panic around 3pm. My rat had been bleeding heavily from her vagina and was getting quite lethargic. I'd already been to another emergency out of hours vets in the area who had been unable to help me much with my situation. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming and the waiting area was comfortable. The emergency vet I saw wasn't an exotics specialist but was helpful and professional. She examined her thoroughly and took blood samples to look under a microscope which revealed my rat had a big internal infection somewhere. After consulting another vet on site, she suggested my rat probably did need surgery to see where the bleeding was coming from but it was something she wasn't comfortable doing. She advised me to keep her warm, hydrated and fed and wait until my registered practice opened in the morning. My rat ended up needing emergency surgery yesterday morning to remove an abscess and blood clot that had formed in her cervix. Overall a good experience. Would recommend.

I've had quite a varied experience here. The reception staff are always friendly and helpful..... but other reviewers are right you do wait ages to be seen and that can be a pain with a anxious pet. The help and advice you receive depends on which vet you see, there are some good ones it's just whether you see them or not. We've been fortunate on a few occasions and not on others. They do tend to be quite expensive but having pets is. Their letters to you can be quite officious and condescending. I think my ideal vet would be someone who didn't care for humans as long as they were brilliant with my pet and able to put her at ease.

They are amazing they've been there through all our loving pets lives x

Their healthy pet club is good value for money. Receptionists are usually friendly. The vet we saw for our dog wasn't too great however they were happy for us to see a different vet next time. They were kind and gentle with our guinea pigs too.
