It's my go to place!!!!Generous portions, lovely staff. What's not to love
Really good quality food and large portion sizes! It's family run and the Girl's are really polite and accomodating. Think I'll go here again instead of the Dolphin.. Only quib is - wasn't too sure if the layout was trying to be a proper old pub or a quirky restaurant.Can't knock the service though! Best steak in ages!!
Used to really enjoy going out to here but the food has really gone down hill. Long wait, came out cold. Bar staff were lovely though.
BEST ROAST DINNER IN PORTSMOUTH!! I'd eat here every Sunday if I could! The rest of the food on the menu looks pretty special too but the roast is something to shout about. SO MUCH food! And they bring a jug of extra gravy - without you having to ask for it - which in my opinion is a win! The beef is always really rare (unless you want it cooked more of course) and the lamb so tender!
Good little boozer by looks of it, stayed in the rooms above with work, which were really good for the price, room would have been a bit of a squeeze for two adults but again for the price cant knock it. Room was spotlessly clean, Comfy double bed, TV (but v.small), iron and ironing board in the room, tea/coffee etc, again spotlessly clean bathroom, the shower/cubicle looked as though it had only just been fitted that day, brand new! There's no lift which coukd be an issue for some but overall a great little place to stay.
