I like using the facilities here. Staff are helpful in the gym. They will happily give you advice. It is run down though and although they are spending money it's still in desperate need for more equipment and modernisation.
This review is for the music venue. Over the years it has greatly improved with s great stage and sound set up. Compared to some other venues I find drinks reasonably priced which is always good at a gig.
Haven't been in 15 years or so and took the kids. Kids loved the pool but massive let down that only one slide was working and it we weren't told before we went in
I recently took my two children swimming here and we loved it. When I first arrived I was surprised at how much the parking charge was but after discovering the fee for the swimming was a little over 10 I was quite pleased. The changing rooms were a bit smelly (hense 4 stars) but they were quite spacious and not congested so again I was pretty happy with that. The pool itself was not too big and is definitely designed for children, which suited me perfectly. There were plenty of fountains, floats and slides to keep most people happy and the wave machine was terrific. I notice the lifeguards were more vigilant and proactive than at most swimming pools, this was good to see. We will be returning.
Good for children age 2-8, but no older. The facilities here are now in need of an update, as they are quite old and will bore children over the age of 8 within 25 minutes. The pyramids could easily be so much better, given its good location and established brand, but it hasn't seen any substantial update for years. By all means, take your young children here as I'm sure they will enjoy it, but maybe consider somewhere else for your slightly more mature ones.
