For a regional train station, the neo-renaissance architecture is striking albeit certain parts are overwhelmed with pigeons. Close to the city centre and the staff were helpful. Has two levels of platforms so check the board to see where your train is leaving from.Has a direct connection to Gatwick's South Terminal with Southern Railway. About an hour away.

Portsmouth & Southsea is located in the Southsea section of Portsmouth, the station is served by the Great Western Railway, Sothwest Railways and Southern, with decent facilities and kind hearted staff, this station is perfection, it's clean and used often by commuters, the town is great and the neighbourhood is calm.
I arrived at the station from the ferry port with An open return ticket but no bike booking so was some what concerned about my onward travel .When I went to the ticket office a lady who's name I can not recall sorted out my train to Southampton and also booked my bike on to the 18.15 cross country service to Manchester I have to say how impressed I was with the service and how easy this made the rest of my jurney.First CLASS customer service Thank You
Tidy clean and comfortable station, quite big. Staff are very knowledgeable, friendly always go above and beyond to help. Very informative when travelling giving you all the confidence you need.Restaurant in foyer very handy for hot drinks. Wheelchair accessible entrance with assistance from staff using portable ramps. 10/10 they deserve all the points from me.
