Probably been here ten times, Its the perfect day out for a family (kids 10 and up), especially on a calm sunny day. The Victory is simply the best and perfect example of Britain's navel history at its peak. Would be great if they could demonstrate an audio example of the sound of a broadside and the smell of the canon (they use to many years back when I was a kid).
Always too much to do in one day.The staff on the ships are very knowledgeable and are more than happy to answer any questions as you are wandering around. Everything is very interesting and there are guide books you can purchase at reception (would highly recommend one of those, they are very educational!) and audio tours for some attractions too which is really useful. A very educational day out, and great for families with children.Ticket prices very reasonable too. I paid 31 online for a Full Navy ticket which gives me access to the site for a whole year. There's also a Costa on site which is very convenient this time of the year when you need a drink to warm up when it gets breezy. There are also other cafes dotted around other attractions too.Would highly recommend!
Amazing day out with lots to see. If you love ships and board and want a good taste of history come here. The all attraction ticket is well worth it and you can keep coming to see everything. We did a tour, went into the ships and submarine and enjoyed time at the harbour/shopping centre. Be sure to be ready for lots of walking!
A fun campus with loads to do. Price is not bad considering how much you can do. The Mary Rose museum is huge and has lots of information in addition to the ship itself. The Victory is amazing. Make sure you take the boat tour to see the harbor, which also stops at the Quays shopping center. Also cool to see that it is still an active Royal Navy base.
With my daughter and 3 year old grandson. Accessible for all of us. He enjoyed seeing cannons and climbing ladders, I enjoyed talking to volunteer s who had amazing knowledge. Great for all ages. Need to return to see submarines. Handy to park car nearby. Having coffee on deck inside Warrior a treat. Large open site provides good exercise too .. Added highlight was new aircraft carrier in dock nearby.
