Cubbit & West sold my house, they did their part very well. They are friendly, they care and keep updating you all the time. They managed the time frame of 6-8 weeks for the sale. Unfortunately the buyers solicitors Lawcomm gave them hard time by not doing their part, and the sale took more than 4 months. Thank you to Andy, Julie, Aaron and Clair you are the best guys. Keep up the good work. I need more stars for you.
We're currently selling our house. We wanted to view a property advertised by Cubitt and West, and they insisted on valuing our house first, although we had already decided on another agent. They came round to do the valuation, and were very pushy with respect to trying to get us to sign up to a contract, although their commission was twice as much and they had additional marketing fees. It was suggested that if we didn't list with them that any offer on the property they had advertised would not be considered seriously. I now avoid even arranging viewings of properties advertised with Cubitt & West ...
renting a property from them was the worse experience of my life . oven didn't work for first week, all drains were blocks when moving in phoned maintenance about in and no one came. I had to do that myself. had no heating at the coldest period of the year for about 2 weeks plus pipes were leaking. private landlords for me in future.
The worst agency ever. Lack of communication between them and wit clients. Only for themselves and their pockets. Are liers. Smiling to your face and when you are going thinking are serious people, discover that are liar and cheat. Seriously, dont ever tried to rent from ther. I meet people who told me I shouldn't sign contract with them. I have friends who are in the same situation. . Very good, polite and cheating when you don't expect.
Having had bad experiences with other letting agents in the past, it was a delight to find an agency that pulled out all the stops for me. I needed to move quickly (in 2/3 days) due to personal circumstances and Chris from the Portsmouth branch moved heaven and earth and managed to get all the paperwork done so that I could move within 3 days. He was efficient and professional and I would highly recommend him and Cubitt and West to anyone needing a good professional service, who treats you with respect and does everything to help you move within tight timescales when needed. I would certainly go through them again without hesitation.
